The Two factor theory Frederick Herzberg's two factor theory of motivation claimed that hygiene factors and motivation factors need to be met by the employer. 1. Hygiene factors involve the environment for example; noise, appearance, hostility and work space. 2. Motivation factors include; salary, bonuses, communication, and very clear goals. Maslow's theory explains that each level must be completed before advancing to the next level and very few employees make it to the fifth level. Frederick Herzberg's two factor theory of motivation claimed that hygiene factors and motivation factors need to be met by the employer.
