Firstly appraisals can improve the moral of an employee, if the appraisal is positive towards the employee then they will feel like the company needs them and therefore have more job security. This boost in moral could make the employee more enthusiastic and more committed to the business, and this will lead to a more relaxed working environment, where work can be carried out without pressure.
