Why are some organisations successful in attracting, recruiting, and retaining the best talent to work for them? An article from personnel today (2003, p. 8) defines talented people as "those who actively seek new challenges and are keen to take on responsibility". The aim for successful companies is to acquire these people and keep them which can be a challenging task in today's society where the best talent can be very hard to find. In order to keep outstanding individuals companies must offer something that there competitors do not so that they can undercut them, gain a competitive advantage and take more market share. Using the companies' business objectives to find and keep the right people in your company is a key.
