Introduction to forensic psychology Forensic Psychology has often been defined as being concerned with the application of psychology to police investigations in addition to the procedures of the courts of law and professional practice within the legal system. References to research on behaviour related to legal processes, including criminal behaviour have also been made (Connolly & Mckellar, 1963; Bartol & Bartol, 1987).
