Motivation is defined as an influence that causes people (in the case of a business, employees) to want to behave in a certain way. Managers use it to energize, direct and sustain human behavior. Businesses are aware of the fact that a motivated worker is keen to be work and takes pride in it. The organization benefits due to high productivity levels, lower rates of absenteeism, improved quality of products or services, etc. Any successful business will have motivated its employees to do better and work harder in some way or the other.
