Is motivation more important than ability in a successful competitive performance? With motivation being seen as the driving force behind all actions of human beings, in comparison to ability, which is being able to do something or get something done. It is difficult to explain which one is more important, this is because they are both neccesary when competing at a successful level. A succesful competitive performance does not always have to be at a profesional level, however it can just be regular competitive performances for a sports person at an amateur standard, I will attempt to show a balanced argument explaing the key points on both sides of this argument however, although I will provide my final thought I will leave you to make your own decisions as to whether you feel that "Motivation is more important than ability in a successful competitive performance."
