Essay 1 Discuss the key characteristics of effective psychometric personality tests and evaluate their utility in organisational settings. This essay seeks to analyse and make some sense about the fascinating field of testing. To do that, I will propose different levels of analysis about the study of individual differences as a way to predict and control societies and to transform subjective decisions in objective ones. This pattern, in order to be explained, has to be placed in a dynamic of scientific studies of individual differences that distinguished the period in which this process has matured. Thus, this paper will begin by presenting a succession of historical events that will clarify the context in which this course has evolved.
