Date: Early 1992, assumption made that the balance sheet we are given is dated for December 31st, 1991. Role: Consultant to Mr. Brian Harvey, the majority shareholder and chairman of the board, of Vantage Heavy Equipment Limited (VHEL). Perspective: Mr. Harvey is currently trying to find the appropriate candidate to fulfil the duties of president for VHEL. He is also concerned with some other issues that he wants dealt with before he steps away from VHEL completely. Initial Considerations: There are a number of things that must be considered before undertaking an in depth analysis of VHEL. The major issue facing Mr. Harvey is succession, he is intends to step down from his position and devote time to other interests.
