CRU Computer Rental, one of two national computer rental companies, was started in 1990, and has seen business grow rapidly. CRU rents CPU's, monitors, printers, and other peripherals for long-term leases as well as short term rentals. The duration of their leases ranges from 1 day to 2 years. The majority of their customers include large corporate accounts, consulting firms and smaller business, and individuals in trade shows. CRU currently has two main warehouses and 23 local retail centers. Currently, CRU is responsible for the shipping cost, which averages around $25 per unit. CRU is under tremendous pressure to generate revenue quickly from units it has purchased, since the rate of new product introduction is rapid.
