Background and History of Ranhill utilities Berhad (RUB) Ranhill Utilities was incorporated in 30 August 2000 as a public limited company under the name of Insan Utiliti Berhad and assumed its present name on 25 January 2002. RUB is principally an investment holding company. SAJH, it's wholly owned subsidiary has been granted a 30-year Concession by the state Government to supply treated water to consumers in Johor commencing 1 March 2000. Through the Concession, SAJH is an integrated water supply services company. Principally involved in sourcing of raw water, treatment and distribution of treated water to consumers. Potable water is supplied from 43 water treatment plants located throughout Johor state. The Initial Public Offering of RUB According to the company's prospectus dated 16 May 2002, the company proposed to issue 77,000,000 new ordinary shares of RM1.00 each at an issue price of RM2.50 per share in conjunction with the listing of Ranhill Utilities...
