The tasks assigned to me by the Director of Finance were both varied and challenging. The main reason for my application to work within the finance department was quite simple. Clearly a centre for education cannot be deemed to be within the leisure industry...yet many would be inclined to argue when considering the amount of leisure time the students have at their disposal! It seemed reasonable to argue that the financial department of the college would be subject to similar, if not identical, administration as any other organisation within the public sector....
