CHAPTER ONE INTRODUCTION When college students graduate, they are usually worried about getting a job or being able to "get along" with their co-workers. What many students do not realize is that another worry is out there. Outsourcing is that worry. Outsourcing is where a company transfers jobs to other countries that are cheaper in labor. The new trend is that white-collar jobs are being transferred to other countries like India or China. Many people that have experienced outsourcing on a personal level have had to train their replacements. Companies say that they need workers to train the replacements to ensure a seamless transition ("Workers asked to train foreign replacements"). Other people have had to do something totally different; they have had to lower their salary requirements to be able to get a job that usually gets transferred to another country.
