Primarily it would be prudent for us to define what is meant by the two crucial terms 'Fair Trade' and the term 'working'. Secondary we need address who is this working for, for example supplier or the consumer. The Oxford Dictionary would define the term as 'Just; according to rule and commerce, buying and selling (for) any profitable pursuit'. What this is suggesting is that any buying and selling that takes place must be carried out under certain rules and regulations. Considered here are the arguments for and against whether this is something that is in practice in the 21st Century. We will also go on and define whether this system is one that works and is practical taking into consideration the arguments for and against fair trade within the textiles industry.
