Introduction In the contemporary world system, Multinational Enterprises (MNEs) play a significant role in both politics and economy. Some scholars have seen the MNEs as one of the main destructive agents attacking the state centred view of the world system. The arrival of the MNEs on the stage of world politics has clearly provoked much activity. It could be similar to International Non-Governmental Organisations (INGOs) that jump the walls of the states and integrate the world issues without states. The difference between MNEs and INGOs is that MNEs may be defined as a profit-making organisation which operates in at least two states (Evans and Newnham: 1998. 332).
