TO WHAT EXTENT DOES GAP, ADHERE TO AND IMPLEMENT THEIR COMPANY'S CODE OF CONDUCT? Transnational Companies are a very prominent feature in the modern world of globalisation. Globalisation is defined as the increased convergence and interdependence of national economies. It describes the growing number of activities and processes that link countries, corporations and other organisations in the worldwide system. These organisations are more commonly referred to as Transnational Companies (TNC's). TNC's hold over 75% of world trade world wide, and one of these many companies is 'Gap'. Gap is one of many TNC's to produce their range of products in Less Economically Developed Countries (LEDC's). This allows the company to pay the bare minimum wage to its workers and keep their expenses extremely low. This has caused upheaval over the years, as it can be viewed as unfair and unreasonable.
