A new director of operations management has been lured by DBC manufacturing. He is an expert on small scale flexible productions systems. Consider how the management of the firms finances and marketing might be affected by a shift away from mass production. (24) This new director intends to move the firm into smaller types of production. This will be either beneficial or disastrous depending on how the firm reacts to the change.
