You are to speak to a group of local councillors. The proposition is "Fox hunting should be banned". Write out your speech in full, arguing either for or against the statement. Ladies and Gentlemen, before I begin, I am sure that there is one fact on this very controversial subject that we can all agree on; foxes are animals that must be controlled. The fox's killing instinct has lead him to finding his way into chicken coops six feet high to find prey. He will kill all, taking only one or two of the animals for food leaving the bodies for us to discover in the morning, as if to leave his stamp. The fox can ruin a farmer's livelihood; a farmer cannot sleep at night for fear of a fox entering his field and killing every one of his newly born lambs, only again to take one...
