Using Animals in Research There is much being said lately about using animals in research. In the last few years, the ethical issue of using animals in research has increased so dramatically. But, is there really a serious crisis of using animals in research? To answer this question, we need to discuss two different points of view; the benefits and the damages of using animals in research. Firstly, the supporters of using animals in research insist that animals are needed for medical testing .They think that would save humans lives and even other animals! Because the humans` life is more valuable than animals life and this is due to the belief that humans are uniquely responsible and capable of salvation .Add to that, human studies take a long time to determine the effects of chemicals which may take ten to twenty years to cause problems .
