Total Liberation The huge beasts thunder down the road. The screaming, the shouting, echoes off the building walls. I clutch my sign tighter, higher. I take a deep breath. Soon, my cries match theirs, in-synch and in unison. The police rush in and hold me back. My lungs are on the verge of bursting. "RINGLING BROTHERS TORTURES ANIMALS!!!" The circus is in town again. My parents should have seen it coming. They thought I wasn't going any further than writing letters to the government. They thought that becoming a vegetarian was just a phase. Little did they know that I would be outside risking my freedom for others. Who's going to stand up for those who can't speak and stand up for themselves? I always ask myself that. Just because we humans, as individuals, are living life freely and easily, it doesn't mean that everyone else is. Converting to vegetarianism wasn't enough....
