There they formed their local populations of homo-erectus and lived. However, when it comes to the evolution of homo- sapiens or modern humans from the homo-erectus species of the world at that time, it is very much debated among paleoanthropologists how it really happened. Two hypothesis or theories of modern human evolution models came out of the various groups of debate and argument. The first is called the multi-regional or regional continuity model.
