An Insight into Hunting Hunting is an interesting subject and is one that there are many opinions on. However, centuries ago hardly anyone would have had an opinion against hunting compared to today's people. Has our culture come to some new knowledge that has revealed them to the wrongs of hunting? Hunting has been an essential part of humanity since the beginning of their existence. For the past thousands of years mankind has depended on the animals around them. Ancient manuscripts and cave paintings have shown that hunting played an important part in the life of the ancients. During those times nobody questioned the rightness of hunting because it was so essential to their life and part of their nature. In the 1600's, the people lived off the land of deer, turkey, squirrels, rabbits, doves, and pheasants. In truth, without the existence of hunting the colonist would not have survived.
