When answering this question, it is imperative that the right factors are addressed, firstly government proposals and policies on sporting and physical activity shall be analysed. This way there is better insight as to whether there is a difference in physical behaviours due to government influence or individual or social adaptations. The data from approximately 8-12 years ago representing the previous statistics on physical behaviours and consequences of physical behaviour, for example percentage suffering from Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) and possibly the amount of leisure centre members and so forth shall then be compared with the statistics of today. The health and participation in sport by society shall be analysed when attempting to answer this question.
