Aussie Rules Invented over one hundred and fifty years ago, Aussie rules is one of the most watched sports in Australia , probably just as popular as cricket, rugby or basketball. It is the most popular winter sport in the states of Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory. Aussie rules is in many ways the same as football, rugby or basketball, in that there is one main objective, which is to get the ball to a certain place on one of the ends of the field, in order to score points. This is all done while obeying the rules and regulations. In football it is called a goal, in rugby a down, in basketball a basket and in Aussie rules it is a goal or a behind.
