Bandura, Ross and Ross. Aggression. a) describe how data was gathered in your chosen study. The study was about transmission of aggression through imitation of other people acting aggressively. They used a male and a female role model in the experiment who played both the aggressive and non aggressive models. They were told to behave in a standardized way. Before the study the children were rated on aggression before being put into groups to prevent subject variables influencing the results. The children were rated by their teacher and a female experimenter. They rated the children out of 5 for previous displays of aggression. Aggression towards objects and their ability to control aggression. The results were reliable as they used inter-rater reliability. There were 3 rooms used in the study.
