PERFORMANCE IN SENSORY DISTORTION PERSPECTIVE: WHAT AFFECTS IT? Jiazhen Chen GRINNELL COLLEGE INTRODUCTION During learning the sensation and perception part of psychology, there has been considerable interest in what factors affect performance when experiencing sensory distortion form a familiar perspective. The present study set out to examine how long it takes to accomplish the different tasks with a distorted-view goggle on, and to compare the results based on different persons and different trials of the same person. According to what we have learned from the class for sensation and perception, it was predicted that experience with a distorted sensory perspective is more important than individual skill in explaining differing physical coordination responses, and that writing in a distorted perspective is easier with reversible letters than with non-reversible letters.
