Verity Reeves Natural and Technological disasters Section A A) Natural disasters and technological disasters have different effects on human responses. Natural disasters do tend to be sudden although it is known for some geographical areas that there is a higher probability for natural disasters. Technological disasters tend to be more foreseen although they can occur in any location. As most technological disasters and some natural disasters are foreseen then people can be warned about an event, this will affect their immediate responses. Warning produce two responses they can reduce the potential for shock and may result in victims taking measures to ensure their safety, for example people who live in an area that is likely to become affected by hurricanes, earthquakes or flooding they can take control to help deal with their situations.
