Justin Smith Hate/Paranoia 1 Foundations of Psychology 2 10/18/02 Paranoia/Hate project Abstract Do hate and paranoia share common mechanisms? This is the question being researched in this experiment. The experiment was conducted using a questionnaire. The questions used in the questionnaire came from previous studies that used questionnaires. The questionnaire consisted of 100 questions taken from ten previous questionnaires. Two types of questionnaires were administered to participants. One was about benign conditions, while the other was about paranoia conditions. The research participants were from an introductory psychology course at the University of Minnesota, Morris campus. Paranoia and hate were found to share common variables, such as sex and age, but not necessarily common mechanisms.
