EMMA MICALLEF DESIGN RESEARCH ON TEENAGE FATHERHOOD. In my research I would like to investigate whether teenage fatherhood increases the likelihood of juvenile delinquency. For this I am going to use the Quantitative approach for they believe that behaviour depends on external causes, that is, the same cause will have the same effect. This is referred to as the 'Mechanical Model of Man' and this suggests that external forces have an impact on humans. These external forces are known as casual laws which under certain conditions suggest that people will engage in certain activities & at the same time reveal a connection between two or more variables. In this case the casual law entails that teenage fatherhood is connected to delinquency.
