This study investigates the self-descriptions of two young people in the context of the findings of Morris Rosenberg (1979). Rosenberg suggested that younger individuals tend to describe themselves in terms of physicality whereas; older individuals tend to use character and/or relationships traits. The study interviewed two individuals and collated the information given into the four categories suggested by Rosenberg: physical, Character, relationships and inner and compared the findings with those of Rosenberg. The researcher also investigated the concept of locus of self-knowledge, which, Rosenberg argued, changed from outer to inner relatedness, as one gets older. The research findings suggested that there was some similarity between the findings and Rosenberg's conclusions, although it was argued that these findings cannot in any way be seen to be replicating or offering validity to Rosenberg's findings.
