OUTLINE AND EVALUATE THE LEVELS OF PROCESSING MODEL OF MEMORY. In this essay I will be talking about the process of the model for memory. There are two concerns with processing and these are ( encoding ) of information and what a person does with the information received and how much attention is given to it or how deeply the information is considered. These things affect how long memory lasts in the long term memory. In the multi-store model the amount of rehearsal is important because if there is no rehearsal than the words or digits will not be able to remember the word fro example simply rehearsing or repeating information in original form. So depth of processing of a stimulus has a substantial affect on its memorability, i.e. how well it's remembered. The three levels of processing are Semantic processing, Phonetic (sound) processing and Structural (visual) processing. The...
