Nevada Mining Boom Summary: This is a 3 page on the history of mining in Nevada Frederick Jackson Turner the most famous historian even to live in America propounded his influential "frontier thesis" which laid the foundation for modern historical study of American West. According to Turner's frontier thesis the development of the western frontier began with Indian and the hunter, it went on until the end of savagery by the entrance of the trader, the pastoral stage in ranch life; the exploitation of the soil by the raising of crops; the intensive culture of the denser farm settlement and finally the manufacturing organization with the city and the factory system. Nevada was one of the isolated states of United States; its geographical and climatic conditions caused it to be a location that was not popular for people.
