It was twelve o'clock and the sun was at its highest in the sky, the date was 13th June 1876. My name is James Finch, I am the Deputy sheriff of a small town in Texas called Coleman and I am going to tell you of how my demise came to be. I am speaking to you now as I walk up the steps towards those ominous gallows.
