By learning from preceding mistakes made by generations, and enhancing and improving on techniques employed in the past, an evolution of ideas and inventions can be observed, in, which humans have learned to utilise their environment for maximum benefit and comfort. Among this development has included that of urban design and climate, and using one to gain the utmost use from the other. Humans possess a basic need to keep warm and to be sheltered. However, in certain climates this can prove to be a difficult task, with tropical climates at times proving unbearably hot and other countries often being bitterly cold.
