Literature, as part of Art is not only designed to entertain but to create awareness of understanding an idea or an issue. Novels that focus on morality not only offer lessons about how humans should act and live but also offer to the reader or the audience the opportunity to learn the effects of making poor moral decisions without having to experience them in their own lives. Furthermore, literature tries to teach an aspect of human behavior by the experiences and transformation of characters and the resolution of a conflict. A common conflict, Illusion versus reality, forms a significant component of many works of literature. As is in the case of two famous novels Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy and Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert.
