Subliminal messaging is a technique that has been used timelessly to change people's perceptions on things. The word subliminal is defined as "below the threshold of conscious perception." Subliminal messaging alters perception by seeping into one's subconscious and implanting certain thoughts. So how does this process work? Firstly, the human mind works on two different levels, conscious and subconscious. It has been predicted that the subconscious level of one's mind can perceive and process up to one hundred thousand bits of information at a time; unlike the conscious mind, the subconscious mind doesn't need to try to make sense of things. With the subconscious level, messages that your conscious mind immediately dismisses can easily slip unnoticed into one's subconscious mind. These messages build up over time and eventually can alter one's perception. Over a period of time, these unnoticed
