Ethics with the Fertility Debate

... Embryo Preservation It is true that older aged women can run the risk of having defective eggs or deteriorated ovaries. Don't be mistaken; the reason I was able to bear a child at my age is because I froze my embryo many years ago by the process of Cryopreservation. Well, traditionally, the process of preservation is achieved by slow freezing, where the eggs or embryos are cooled into certain temperatures that will preserve them. However, recent discovery of Vitrification, an alternate method, involves submerging an egg in liquid nitrogen to quickly freeze it. For embryo vitrification, the egg can be fertilized outside its natural environment and the produced embryo is frozen and can remain dormant until further use. I have heard of this process. There has been an increasing number of embryo freezing in the recent years. Even though several countries have endorsed this process, it is still not universally accepted.
