Recent Reviews of Languages Essays
What our users think of the Languages essays in this section:
"The essay is regrettably too short to have any real insight into what is an prevalent and elaborate theme that Oscar Wilde intended to be read into the book. It reads merely as evidence that the reading of such a theme into the book is justified, but makes no real point above and beyond this. The narcissism links brilliantly into the hedonistic society and Wilde's own life; and more introspectively a lot of points in the book hinge upon it, but these are glossed over to create (an admittedly well-written and accurate) register of evidence and quotations.
