... Brauchen wir wirklich die Kernenergie? Ob wir Kernenergie brauchen wird momentan viel diskutiert, da die Reserven fossilier Brennstoffe wie Kohle, Erdöl, Torf und Erdgas in circa 30 Jahren zu Ende sein werden. Es könnte sogar früher sein, da sich Länder immer mehr entwickeln und dafür wird mehr Energie benutzt. Das Problem damit ist daß die Kernenergie nach Fossil Brennstoffen die meiste Energie erzeugt, also können wir sie nicht einfach so schnell abschaffen. Ein anderer Grund warum eine Entscheidung getroffen werden muß ist der Effekt fossiler Brennstoffe auf das Klima. Durch ihrer Verbrennung entsteht CO2, dieses Gas steigt in die Atmosphäre und bildet eine Luftschicht die wie ein Treibhaus wurkt und somit wahrscheinlich eine grosse Rolle im Klimawechsel spielt. Im Gegensatz dazu erzeugt die Kernenergie keine Treibhausgase. Es sind am Moment 210 Kernkraftwerke mit 435 Reaktorblöcken in 31 Ländern in Betrieb. In Europa benutzen 18 Länder die Kernenergie.
