Personal Experience Writing Before my week of work experience I was clueless about what it was like to be in an operating theatre or what an aneurysm was. It had never crossed my mind that one day I would know the answer, but that was before I spent an eventful week at Edinburgh's Royal Infirmary. "Have a nice day." And with those words my father drove away leaving me outside the large, spotless white building. The main glass entrance slid open as I approached. As expected the hospital was full of people. Doctors, nurses, patients and visitors were all moving and shuffling in different directions towards their destination, unlike me who was lost immediately in the wave of activity.
