There are some spelling and numerous grammatical errors throughout - in particular the author needs to appreciate where it is appropriate to begin a new sentence rather than continuing using a comma. In terms of the content, the examples are rather limited, and the examples given aren't necessarily good/bad customer service, but rather examples of general company policies that are quite fair but that don't necessarily give the customer the benefit of the doubt, to avoid abuse. It's good to see some description of events in the run-up to starting the placement, but I feel that this is a little too lengthy, with the result that it dominates the essay; I would instead expect the focus to be on events during the placement itself and an evaluation of the benefits gained during the placement. "A useful exploration of the benefits of work experience, clearly informed by the author's own experience. The essay is clearly written and well laid out, making it easy to read. Each point that the author makes is concisely explained, to give a balanced argument, leading up to a well-justified conclusion, ans this would likely make useful reading for any students preparing to undertake a work experience placement to allow them too make best use of the placement. "An honest account of your work experience placement. You described what you did at the store in great detail. Also, at the end of the report you make some very interesting points regarding the store, and the current employees there. It is good to hear that you want to work somewhere where you can advance, rather than just in a store. Some parts of your report are very negative, and you accuse the store of not treating you like a worker because they would not let you handle the money for example. You need to be aware that this placement isn't just about you. There are numerous rules that an employer needs to follow if he allows work experience placements, so you need to be respectful, as he could have easily rejected you. "Well written, but there's little content about the work experience itself. The essay focuses on the author's feelings in the run-up to starting the placement, and discussion of the activities undertaken during the actual placement is limited to just a couple of paragraphs. This is particularly unfortunate as the first-person writing style is very effective at drawing the reader's attention, and there is certainly potential for this to have been an excellent essay if appropriately focussed. It's also worth noting that there are a number of minor typos in the text, so the essay would certainly benefit from being proof read. TSR User: Illusionary"
