Aim/Hypothesis My aim is to investigate the division of domestic labour within the home. I hope to find out whether in today's society the roles are less segregated (the wife looks after the children and does the housework and the husband goes to work to earn the money) and more joint (shared responsibility of both roles). I have chosen to investigate the division of labour in marriage because the role of men and women has changed so much in the last 50 years and I believe that it is important that there are equal opportunities for both men and women.
