Question 1 "The layout of Undercliffe Cemetery and the monuments, tell us a great deal about the social differences, attitudes and beliefs of Bradford people in the second half of the nineteenth century" Undercliffe cemetery is situated in Bradford 3 Undercliffe area. The area is placed around the top of Bradford which overlooks parts of Bradford from the cemetery. The cemetery is 26 acres of land. Therefore many people's graves take up lots of land for huge graves but for some they could barely afford 1 plot of land. However there were many people buried here were in mass numbers in one grave, showing the difference in social class. The cemetery is now a conservation area, meaning it is a historical site of Bradford because later on in the second half of the nineteenth century it was used as a recreational place which is carried throughout the years, consequently being a cemetery...
