Fascism Towards Women What was the fascist policy towards women? Fascism adopted the idea that men were superior to women. They saw inequality between men and women, and favored the men. Men were known to be more powerful in the body as well as in the mind. They discriminated women because they looked at women from a materialistic point of view, which means, they were to stay home and take care of the children and clean the house. Basically they were the enemies of women. They saw them as inferior and backward species. They despised them and there was absolutely no respect towards women. This fact is recognizable in a statement Mussolini gave to a French journalist on November 1922. There are those who say that I intend to limit the right to vote. No! Every citizen will keep his right to vote for the Rome Parliament... Let me also admit to you...
