The best test of a civilised society is the way in which it treats its weakest members. Discuss! Our modern times clearly show that today life has become so fissiparous that man in society has undergone complete transformations in the way they act and interact with one another in society. However the question is asked whether the weakest members be they the marginalised or side-streamed groups, old, handicapped or otherwise disable are being regarded to form part or even involved in a civilised society? Indeed the weakest members form part of a civilised society. The word 'civilised' is trying to convey to us that a society which is based on the 12 fundamental living values and not simply education, is known to be the best test. The twelve living values are notably cooperation, freedom, happiness, humility, respect, responsibility, honesty, love, peace, simplicity, tolerance and unity.
