Sociology Assignment- Research Study of Deviant Behaviour Deviance is acting and behaving in a way that departs from the social norms of society. Deviance is evident throughout the world and is in many circumstances a problem in Australian society. One of the great troubles in Australia at the present day is the addiction of heroin. This is particularly a major problem for teenagers. In many circumstances young teens are being influenced by gangs involved with drugs, according to The Sydney Morning Herald in the article "Drug Dens Luring Teenagers, Say Police" on May 1st 2003. This is a case where teenagers are leaving home to live in drug dens with gangs to take drugs and traffic them at the same time. Both the gang related drug dealers and the teenagers involved are engaging in deviant and criminal acts that are unacceptable in our society. Many people may not see this problem...
