The less fortunate are those who do not have the ability to feed themselves, for e.g. the handicapped and disabled. However, the less fortunate do not comprise of those who can work to feed themselves, but are too lazy to do so. Society must reflect upon itself and ask whether its citizens are responsible for the less fortunate, or whether it is neither encouraged nor expected to require civil service to help those who have none. Thus, we can ask ourselves, "are we responsible for others?" We can say that we are living together as a group and not individuals, and that each of our actions affects others' lives.
