Comprehensive Schools v Grammar Schools Hypothesis (100) My hypothesis is that "children in comprehensive schools gain better GCSE results than children in grammar schools. I personally believe this because I was supposed to attend a grammar school but due to circumstances I ended up in a comprehensive school, my friend attended a grammar school. In GCSE science I got a double A* grade and my friend a double B grade. My belief is supported by Professor David Jesson, his study of examination results shows that the top pupils in comprehensive schools do just as well as their peers in grammar schools.
