Infanticide has been a part of society as long as history been recorded. Today it is still a part of our society, for example, in China, the females infants are given up or killed. In European history, the main reason for infanticide was to get rid of illegitimate children. Even though a small numbers of cases were counted as criminal acts and prosecuted.
