Functionalism and Marxism both believe that reproduction will benefit society but the end result between the two is contrasting. Functionalism sees that reproduction will benefit society as reproduction help create bonds between child and parent and that the child will be more stable because of the parents which contrasts with the Marxist view on reproduction as reproduction will benefit society by housewives producing and raising the next generation of workers.
