Essay comparing and contrasting Marxist and Weber perspectives on society. Marx covers the industrilation matters of society such as capitalism makes more money and so on. Weber more focuses on classes such as working class. Karl Marx (1818-1883) said that the systems we live in (capitalism-where everyone is divided into 2 main classes: the bourgeoisies or the proletariats) the bourgeoisies are the higher and ruling class, as they control society and the proletariat is the workers and the lower class. Polerisation is in progress, where the rich gets richer, and the poor get poorer. The bourgeoisie benefited from the way society was run, but the prolerisation did not receive what they really deserved. He also saw society as progressing through 5 epochs, which are:> Primitive communism> Slave society> Feudalism> Capitalism> Socialism These are known as means of production, i.e. parts of the technology and scientific knowledge, which can be legally owned.
